This research proposes a management model based on complex adaptive systems (CAS) for micro and small commercial enterprises (MSMEs) in the city of Chiclayo. It is mixed methodological approach. In qualitative phase, MSME was defined as CAS through an interview with 30 microentrepreneurs, elements self-organization emergence interactions system were identified; this allowed proposing conceptual that led to construction theoretical mypes; which, quantitative used develop questionnaire applied 267 microentrepreneurs. With data collected using structural equations, validated showed good fit indices (RMSEA = 0.028; GFI 0.976). evidenced its suppliers, customers, competitors regulators.
